Is SocialMitr free to use? ▼
Creating a creator profile and browsing jobs is completely free. Businesses can also post requirements for free. We plan to introduce optional premium features in the future, but the core marketplace will always remain free for both creators and businesses.
How does payment work? ▼
Creators and businesses agree on a rate directly on the platform. Once work is complete, the creator requests payment through SocialMitr's built-in payment system. The business then releases payment via UPI or bank transfer. SocialMitr tracks all payment requests and releases in-platform so both sides stay protected and accountable.
Is SocialMitr only for Delhi? ▼
No — we're based in Delhi but welcome creators and businesses from any city in India. We currently have active users in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and growing. The platform works for any city since creators can also offer remote services like editing and social media management.
How do I get verified on SocialMitr? ▼
Complete your profile with a portfolio link, Instagram handle, and a detailed bio. Once you complete your first job and collect reviews, your profile automatically gets more visibility. Our team also manually reviews top-performing profiles and awards a verified badge. The more complete your profile, the faster you get discovered.
What types of businesses can use SocialMitr? ▼
Any local business that needs social media content! SocialMitr was built specifically for gyms, cafes, restaurants, clothing stores, boutiques, salons, and spas — but any local business looking for consistent content creation, video editing, or social media management is welcome on the platform.
What happens after a business accepts my proposal? ▼
Once a business accepts your proposal, a private chat room is automatically created between you and the business. You can discuss deliverables, timelines, and share files directly in the chat. When you've completed the work, you submit a payment request through your dashboard, and the business releases payment via UPI. You'll receive a confirmation email once payment is sent.
How do I cancel or dispute a contract? ▼
If either party is unsatisfied with the arrangement, they can contact us at socialmitr.company@gmail.com or via WhatsApp at +91 98216 53766. We mediate disputes fairly and work to find a resolution that's fair to both the creator and the business. We take platform trust very seriously.
How do I set my rate as a creator? ▼
You set your own monthly rate when you create your profile, and you can update it anytime from your dashboard under "My Profile". We recommend researching what similar creators in your city charge. For reference, most creators on SocialMitr charge between ₹2,000 and ₹10,000 per month depending on their skill level and niche.
